Restaurant Design Assocaites recently transformed the catering facilities at one of the world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer’s.
Following a recent move into the building, RDA worked with the retail giant and their contract caterer, to create a new kitchen and update the existing staff restaurant. The main brief for the project was to improve the overall efficiency and flow of the outdated existing kitchen and staff restaurant servery areas.
The new kitchen installation involved considerable re-modelling including stainless steel fabricated counters, upgraded ventilation and fire suppression systems to comply with current regulations, coldroom and refrigeration refurbishments and the creation of a new dish wash area to improve the flow of the kitchen as well as installing state of the art induction cookers.
The client was also keen to ensure that the project was as Eco-friendly as possible, so our designers created a scheme which avoided as much wastage as possible and as a result, much of the existing staff servery areas were retained.
Jo Hobbs, Head of Employee Experience said “We are delighted with our new facilities, which service hundreds of employees daily. RDA really understood our brief, worked within our existing branding and helped to create a new kitchen and staff restaurant to be proud of.”
