RDA was recently appointed by Aramark Northern Europe to help create the first ever Jamie Oliver’s Deli in the University sector,at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen.
Robert Gordon University is :
- In the top 20% of the best universities in the UK, (ref. Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF),
- Has a global reputation in health studies and life sciences
- Putting a focus on providing healthy dining options.
RDA’s designers worked closely with Jamie Oliver’s brand team and Aramark to bring the new deli to life. Installation involved considerable re-modelling, combining two existing units, which RDA originally installed in 2013, into one.
The interior design
The interior fit out was based on the Jamie Oliver brand and specification. RDA’s team installed an eclectic mix of styles, including:
- a suspended ceiling
- timber wall panelling
- modern tiling
- feature lighting throughout.
- Chilled and heated multi-decks were also installed to cater for the predominantly “grab and go” offer.
Over 17,000 students and staff at RGU will be able to enjoy a range of Jamie Oliver’s food, including breakfast, lunch and snacks. The emphasis is on healthy, balanced food made with local and sustainably sourced ingredients.
