RDA was recently appointed by Levy Leisure to create a new River Cottage Deli kiosk from a converted shipping container to sit within the grounds of Glyndebourne, the renowned opera house located in Sussex.

Shipping Container Kiosk

RDA’s team of design experts worked with the leading sports and hospitality caterer, to build a shipping container kiosk, which was in line with the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall brand, to serve the public during performances at this year’s Glyndebourne Festival.

The two organisations worked in partnership to create a bespoke solution for Glyndebourne which complements the existing catering offer and enhances the visitor experience.

Glyndebourne Opera House all began with a love story in 1934 when founder John Christie met soprano Audrey Mildmay. It is now one of the finest and most celebrated opera houses in the world and delivers performances to some 150,000 people across a Summer Festival and Autumn Tour.

Edward Arthur, Director of Hospitality at Leith’s at Glyndebourne, said: We took influences and inspiration from the River Cottage brand and incorporated signature pieces such as infused oils and River Cottage recipe books on the back wall.

“The result is an appealing convenient kiosk which serves coffee, pastries and deli sandwiches to complement the excellent dining experiences already on site.”
