Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) were appointed by Levy Leisure UK and AEG at The O2 to help create the new cafe interior design inside the arena, which will service the thousands of customers and bring coffee culture into an arena environment.
The new interior fit out is based on the latest Nescafé Azera brand and specification, but with an urban industrial look befitting of the recently refurbished concourse.
Nick Bradley, Director at RDA said: “RDA has worked with Levy Leisure UK on a number of high-profile projects for some of the UK’s leading entertainment venues over the past 12 months. We were delighted to be appointed to the Nescafé Azeracoffee shop project and to be able to work with such prestigious brands as Nestle and AEG in such an outstanding venue as The O2.”
He added: “Our team worked in close partnership with AEG to ensure we were fully connected to their partner’s brand messaging. It was important to really understand the brand ethos and build this into the customer experience wherever we could.
“The result was an extension of the NescaféAzera brand, with physical elements such as metal high stools, stencilled brick work and of course, the subtle orange glow achieved through new led feature lighting.”
The O2 is the world’s most popular music and entertainment venue. Since opening in 2007, it has been visited by more than 70 million people and in 2017 was named Pollstar ‘International Venue of the Year’ for the tenth time.
